Our Work
Selected examples of how we help clients solve complex subsurface challenges.
Pore space evaluation, dynamic simulation, and long-term plume modeling in support of Class VI injection well permit applications.
History matching and predictive simulation for field development planning, recovery optimization, and reserves forecasting.
Rate transient analysis and decline curve modeling for multi-well unconventional development programs.
Integrated 3D geomodeling with seismic interpretation for field development planning and reserves estimation.
Who We Work With
Using cutting edge technology and integrated experience, we deliver innovative products and workflows to upstream companies. From primary recovery to waterflood realignment or tertiary recovery, we have the tools to bring forward value.
Evaluating transient inflow performance to identify where capital dollars can be most effective. Rate transient analysis and hybrid numerical RTA provide fast, accurate forecasts for wells that are difficult to evaluate with conventional DCA.
A full suite of products from turnkey permits and MRV plans to pre-feasibility scoping and prospect generation. Our team has participated in more than 10 Class VI permits, DOE Phase III grants and Class II MRV plans.
We assist clients in fostering amicable relationships with state and federal regulators. Our team understands both sides of the regulatory equation, dedicated to project success with a keen understanding of the regulations.
Full service prospect valuations for PE-backed firms seeking to make an acquisition. Our team of engineers and geologists efficiently navigate datarooms, saving time and helping deliver value.
Our Team
Principal Consultant and President
Kyle is a Reservoir Engineer with experience in various conventional and unconventional plays across the United States. His principal areas of experience include reservoir simulation in conventional reservoirs with a focus on carbon sequestration, and unconventional plays where hydraulic fracturing is optimized using reservoir and fracture simulation. He holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Director of Exploration
Phil is a Geologist with experience in conventional plays across the United States. His principal areas of experience include subsurface evaluation, seismic interpretation, risk and resource estimation, and geomodelling. He holds a B.S. in Geology from Grand Valley State University and a M.S. in Geology from Northern Illinois University.
Director of Geoscience
Lane is a senior geologist and CCUS technical advisor who helps operators de-risk complex drilling and carbon storage projects from early concepts through execution and regulatory approval. With more than four decades of experience across U.S. and international basins, he specializes in operations geology, geosteering, formation evaluation, reservoir characterization, and Class V and Class VI CCUS programs. Clients value Lane for practical, execution-focused solutions that reduce risk, avoid costly delays, and keep projects moving forward.
Executive Director Sequestration
Wayne is a senior executive and recognized leader in carbon capture and storage, with more than 40 years of experience delivering large scale energy and decarbonization projects. He has led the development of multi billion dollar geologic sequestration assets supporting global blue hydrogen and low carbon energy initiatives. Wayne brings deep expertise in subsurface development, regulatory strategy, and project risk management, bridging technical execution with commercial and investment outcomes.
Director of Petrophysics
Tom is an applied multidisciplinary geoscientist specializing in engineering operations. He began his career in 1977 as a field engineer for Schlumberger and helped develop wireline and LWD logging tools. His expertise is in petrophysics, wellbore imaging, multipole sonic tools, and geomechanical interpretations applied to drilling, completion, and reservoir operations. He holds a PhD degree in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines.
